Scots pine is a sleeper species in American Bonsai. It grows fast, back buds better than almost any other pine, and can ramify quickly. It does not have as craggy bark as black pine, but is as good or better in every other way. This one has grown in our grow beds for the last few years and is about 5 years old.
The nebari is around 2" and it is starting to get some nice bark. It has been wired, root worked and has had one cut back. There are nice options for eventual cut back to make a smaller tree, or let it grow out to be a larger tree.
I estimate that the shipping on this tree will be $45 east of the Rocky Mountains and $30 west of the Rockies, but actual shipping will be calculated at checkout.
