European beech (Fagus sylvatica) has many of the same great qualities as the Japanese beech. They grow quickly and will reduce their leaf size over time.
This seedling is 3 years old and has been growing through a washer to ensure a better root system.
It has never been repotted but has had some wire work to put movement in the trunk.
